pivot after 8 months of dev time!

after 8 months of working on my game with point-and-click puzzle mechanics, I painfully realized two things: 1. I'm not good at designing puzzles. 2. I don't enjoy designing puzzles.

These realizations came from watching well-meaning friends play. Even while confused and lost, they stayed positive and encouraging. But I know the world of games is unforgiving. People expect to be entertained, and any slight confusion will make a player walk away. (I would too.)

So I decided to pivot and start anew. In this prototype I kept the premise: you're a crow trying to help a person fall asleep. But the concept is dramatically simplified, focused on what's actually fun.

The result is the gameplay in the video: you're a vandalizing crow sneaking into people's homes, destroying things, pooping, and "collecting" (or stealing?) items from humans, and somehow, along the way, calming them to sleep.
